Mhamid Express 2012 Details: The event is over six days in January 2012
Between 150 and 300 kms of riding per day. The last day is the three hour endurance race. This will be followed by the presentations.
The event is based in M'Hamid and uses the Cheggaga Dunes (same terrain as the Shamrock Rallye). It's
a low key event limited to 50 participants and is completely desert
orientated with four stages over four days and then a final three hour
test on the last day. Stages are 150> 300 kms per day. It's a
GPS only event and so is a great way to introduce riders to desert
riding in a controlled, safe atmosphere without the complication of road
books and ico trip computers. The idea is that the first competitor leaves at 09.00 every morning and is finished by 13.00, so four hours of riding per day. Leaving plenty of time for rest/ recovery and spannering lessons/ race-craft etc. An excellent training camp for the Tuareg or any other sand rallye! Loco for Motos Package: 2060 euros Included: Transfers, Marrakech/ M'Hamid/ Marrakech before and after the event. Prepared
bikes, training, gps, maintenance and classes. Rallye entry and
participation, lunch and six nights half board in M'Hamid included. Not Included: Flights to/ from Marrakech Medical insurance with repatriation Accommodation in Marrakech (although we can provide excellent accommodation prices at our chosen auberge). Drinks other than water for the rallye stages. Fuel for the bikes during for the duration of the tour. Sundries and personal expenses during the transfers or stays in Marrakech or M'Hamid. This
is intended to be enjoyable for all and as informal as possible, whilst
being informative and instructional in the art of rallye and desert
riding. For this reason the numbers of participants will be very
restricted, at the moment we are inviting a maximum of five riders to
the event. Please let us know by e-mail if this event is of interest
to you and if we can furnish you with further details, we will be
updating the web site with new information. Contact us here for your desired individual or group participation.
